Itinerary

Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, all guests will be warmly welcomed by our local guide and transferred to…

After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and enjoy a 2.5 to 3-hour drive to Halong Bay (160 km from Hanoi). You’ll arrive at the jetty in Halong City around noon and proceed with check-in formalities in Royal Palace Cruise. Once welcomed aboard, lunch will be served while cruising into the bay. In the afternoon, you can enjoy various visits and activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or simply relax on board. Towards evening, the boat will anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner will be served on board. You’ll spend the night on Halong Bay.
Note: Indian cuisine is not available on the Halong Overnight Cruise.

Halong Bay to Hanoi (160 km): 2.5 – 3.0hrs

Enjoy a fresh morning in the middle of the bay as the sun rises over Halong. Breakfast (or brunch on some boats) is served while the vessels cruise slowly through magnificent rock formations on their way back to port. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi. End the day with a water puppet show, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history. Have dinner at an Indian restaurant. Overnight stay at a Chalcedony Hotel in Hanoi.

Hanoi to Hoa Lu (100km): 2.5hrs.

Depart from the hotel at 08:00 for a 2.5-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam’s first capital, Hoa Lu. Visit temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-980) and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel, most of which has since been destroyed, once covered an area of three square kilometers. After visiting Hoa Lu, if time and energy levels permit, take a half-hour walk up one of the surrounding limestone karst hills. The climb is rewarded with spectacular views.
In the afternoon, visit Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on a peaceful river, passing through a series of caves. Trang An is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, some of which are submerged, and surrounded by steep cliffs.

As the boat gently glides through the water, observe the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields, giving rise to its other name, ‘Halong on Land’. Officially designated as an ‘eco-tourism’ area, the only sounds here are those of birds and the gentle paddle of the oar upon the crystal-clear river.

Then transfer back to the hotel in Hanoi and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner is served in an Indian restaurant. Overnight in Hotel Chalcedony Hanoi.

After breakfast, check out hotel and start the city tour. Today, visit Ho Chi Minh President Mausoleum complex. Afterwards, visit The One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049. This structure is one of Vietnam’s smallest but most iconic temples. Close by is the Mausoleum of the historic Father Figure of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, and the Former President’s House on stilts where he lived from 1958 to 1969. His former home illustrates the modesty of this Vietnamese revolutionary.

Then, you will visit Tran Quoc Pagoda – which is one of the oldest pagodas in Hanoi. From here, you can take pictures with a beautiful view of West Lake. Next, you will enjoy a walking tour through the Hanoi’s Old Quarter, also known as the ‘36 streets’. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. If time permit, it’s a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities all around you and explore the famous Dong Xuan Market, where you can purchase souvenirs for your beloved ones.
Then, transfer to Noi Bai Airport for your flight to Danang. Arrival at Danang Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local guide and transfer to check in the hotel. Dinner is served in Indian restaurant. Overnight in BlueSun Hotel, Danang.

Enjoy the first leg of the cable car ride, which achieved two Guinness World Records in 2009: longest non-stop cable car (5,042m) and highest non-stop cable car (1,292m). Sitting in the cabin, suspended in mid-air, you’ll have spectacular views of the endless tree line of the forests, lush jungle, and fairy-like waterfalls along the way. Experiencing the pristine ecological systems of the Ba Na Mountains will leave you with a sense of wonder and discovery.

You will visit Le Jardin, old wineries, remains of French villas, and Linh Ung Pagoda with its 27m high Buddha statue. Then, take the second cable car to the mountain top to see more remains of old villas. Conquer the Peak of Chua Mountain at a height of 1,487m, where you can view the whole of Da Nang city under a cluster of white clouds After leaving the peak, visit the Dreaming Stream trail, Rainbow Waterfall, Suspension Bridge, Golden Valley, and ruined Opera House.
